“You don’t find love, it finds you, that’s destiny.” Adelina and Nelson met when they were teenagers, at IS 162 Junior High, 7th grade to be exact. Nelson was a wild child, smart but often getting into something, like pulling fire alarms and Adelina was the sweet girl that Nelson had a crush on. Adelina’s fondest memory of Nelson during those JHS days was when he wrote her name spaced with hearts on five pages, front and back, and when he asked her to be his valentine and gave her a heart full of chocolates. You can’t cheat fate because what’s meant to be will always be so although time parted them, God and destiny brought them together. After about 15 years of losing contact, Addy found Nelson, actually his sister, on Facebook no less. Their chemistry was instant and not long after meeting again, Addy fell for Nelson’s charming and funny ways and Nelson’s old feelings were sparked once again. In November 2015 they welcomed to their home they’re adorable mini schnauzer, Winston. Days later they received confirmation that they were expecting their first baby – their precious miracle they longed and prayed for. Nelson Jr. was born on May 31, 2016 and has added even more love and happiness beyond measure. Now in just a few more weeks, Nelson and Adelina will meet each other at the alter to say their do’s and become husband and wife. “Love is our true destiny.
